Fruity cake with sour cherry and apricot

Hi, everyone πŸ™‚

Today I would like to share with you a recipe for an amazing summer cake – Fruity cake with sour cherry and apricot πŸ™‚

Ingredients:

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
3 tbs yoghurt
100 g soft butter
1 tea spoon baking powder
1/2 tea spoon baking soda
1 vanilla
1 pinch of salt
70-80g white chocolate couverture
1 and 1/2 mixed sour cherries and apricots (cut into small pieces)

How to prepare it?

Beat well the eggs and the sugar till white. Then add the yoghurt and the butter and keep stiring. Mix all the dry ingredients and add them into the eggs mixture and stir once again. Take a cake baking form, put baking paper in and pour half of the mixture out. Then arrange the fruits and the choclate and pour the rest of the mixture out. Bake in a preheated oven for around 35 minutes or till ready. That’s it. I hope you gonna like this easy summer cake πŸ™‚

Apples (Ябълки)

Happy about it or not, the Autumn is here… But for us – the food lovers, this is a good news πŸ™‚ The Autumn is really rich on fruits and vegetables. This week we are going to cook with Apples (not only Autumn fruit, it is an all year fruit, but it always reminds me on Autumn).
The Apple is one of the healthiest and easy to find fruits. It is originaly from Central Asia and belongs to the Rosaceae family. The Apple is low in calories (65 per serving portion of 125 g), fat-free, cholesterol-free and sodium-free. It is an excellent source of dietary fibers, Vitamin C and Potassium. The Apples are good source also of Vitamin K, B6, Copper, Magnesium, Manganese and Phytosterols. They have so many health benefits, so different researches present new ones almost every day. The Apples boost our immune system, they are heart-friendly and reduce the cholesterol, protect our brain and keep away Alzheimer and Parkinson. They are excellent anti-oxidants, decrease the risk of diabetes and cancer, protect our teeth and make them whiter. These are not all of the health benefits, there are so much more…
There is a proverb that says: “One apple a day keeps the doctor away” and I totally agree with it πŸ™‚

Our new hero of the week is a super delicious and healthy fruit – the Blueberries πŸ™‚ A fruit, that everybody loves!

The Blueberries are perennial flowering plants, part of the Ericaceae family, originally from North America.The Blueberries are low in fats and calories. They are considered as one of the super foods. Now you will learn why. They are rich on Vitamin C and K and dietary fibers . They contain also Vitamin B6, E, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Iron, Potassium, Copper, Manganese, Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty-acid. Their 57 calories for 100 g make them a perfect snack. An interesting fact is that the blueberries help in reducing the belly fats. They also help for many problems and diseases such as heart diseases – the blueberries help controlling the blood pressure and the cholesterol, they control the sugar levels, they are one of the richest on anti-oxidants fruits and help in the fight against cancer. Plus all this, the blueberries stimulate our brain and strengthen our immune system.

Our hero this week is super delicious and super healthy fruit. Yes, you are right, I am talking about the Common fig πŸ™‚ The common fig is an amazing fruit. It has so many health benefits, so that it’s impossible all of them to be mentioned here. It is originally from the Middle East and western Asia and it’s part of the Moraceae family.
The common fig is low in fats, high in dietary fibers (it contains more than any other fruit or vegetable). Its 47 calories per 60 g (one big fig) makes it a perfect snack.
The common fig contains vitamin A, C, K, B6, Thiamin, Calcium, Magnesium, Manganese, Copper, Iron, Potassium (which helps in the blood presure control), phytosterols (which have cholesterol-lowering effect), dietary fibers, omega 6 fatty-acid and up to 80% water.
The common fig helps for many problems and diseases such as improving the skin, insomnia, constipation (it has laxative effect), heart diseases, anemia, reducing the stress and many others.
